I found it to be a real page-turner because it just resonated as true to me, and something badly needed in today's world when so many feel empty, lost, unfulfilled, as though something was missing. Sandra Ingerman makes the shamanic practice of soul retrieval accessible to the modern reader. Her simple explanation of why psychological "talk" therapy may not be enough to resolve a fragmented sense of self makes so much sense: you, or your therapist, can't work with someone who's not fully "at home."
